I am always looking for new projects for Danielle and I. This weekend I was drinking coffee in a book store when I found the most beautiful inspiration: a french inspired envelope pocket album! Immediatly I thought, how could I tweak this to fit our best friend needs! That's when I got my idea. Instead of using envelope pockets to create an album I could use them to make a recipe book! Sure enough a 3" x 5" index card tucks PERFECTLY into a standard envelope and is perfect for writing recipes on! Danielle and I love buttons, ribbon, and the look and feel of vintage items. So now I was on the hunt for these supplies to embellish our French inspired envelope pockets!!! I searched thrift stores and craft stores when I came across a vintage inspired paper company called Lost and Found by Jen Allyson. All of there paper is made to look old and warn. I new then that I had found the perfect embellishments for our recipe book. I bought all of there paper and drove home to get to work! I have made the first two pages for our pocket book and am including recipes from the Julia Child cookbook. I will be sending our pocket recipe book to Danielle this week in our very first care package! Stay tuned for more ideas on how to cook with crafts!

Envelope Pocket Recipe Book
