Couture Books

Books are more then a binding of pages, they are a compilation of words creating a majestic story. Reading is a journey, an experience, a relationship, its a creation of magic, of love and sorrow all piled together waiting for someone to come along and paint it in to a picture. Its more than just a movie, when you read a book you are the director, you create the scene and the characters that fill the story.

We have decided, seeing as reading is one of our favorite things to do, is to create a Book Club. So as you can see you have now entered the domain of Couture Book Club where we believe that fairytales are real and a book is an accersory to an outfit. Most of the books we will be picking are classic novels, some turned into movies, which you can find recommended in our At the Movies section. Others we may have just stumbled upon an old copy of a book and thats basically how we picked. We really dont have any rhyme or reason as to what or why we pick the books we do, it really just depends on the moment. On the side bar you can find our bookshelf! It houses books we have read as well as books we would like to read! Enjoy!

So, Danielle has selected our February read and I am so excited to begin reading.  The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is about four best friends spending their very first summer apart.  Danielle and I can so relate to this!  Our friendship has never been tested more than when I moved back to Texas two years ago.  It is so important to embrace the important people in your life and show them love everyday.  Danielle and I have recently found a new way to let each other know how much we care about one another.  We send monthly care packages to brighten one another's day.  Check out our home page for some creative care package ideas.

After completing the amazing book of last month, which Lisa and I both highly recommend you read, it is time to announce the next book! Lisa doesn't know (at least not until she sees this post) but here it is! The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a very fitting book for us to read considering the care package and journal we will be sending back and forth. Like the pants it will bring us together even though we are miles apart. If any you have read this book (not the movie) let us know what you think! The first book for our reading club has been selected:  Summer at Tiffany's.  I am super excited about this selection because one of the very first memories that Danielle and I have together is watching the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's.  This book is about two best friends that move to New York City and look for jobs together.  I can so see Danielle and I doing this!  Have any of our followers read this book?  If so, we would love to hear your comments.  Stay tuned into our Couture Books link to find out what Danielle and I have to say about Summer at Tiffany's.
